Message from the Director,
On behalf of SEED, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our center in Dubai, UAE.
SEED stands for Social Educational Emotional Development, and as our name suggests, we work as a team to provide assessments, specialised instructions, and training that support the various needs of children and adolescents of determination. We value parents and see them as vital members of all our endeavours in SEED.
The United Arab Emirates, and Dubai in particular, is a rewarding place to be if you are a child with special needs or a parent of a child with special needs. With an excellent quality of life for people of determination (as they are very affectionately identified here), the UAE has a very clear and well-mapped route towards including them as valuable members in the community. In a supportive society such as this, we are indeed excited to open our doors to provide multidisciplinary services at affordable rates.
At SEED, we believe that all children and adolescents with special needs deserve good, high-quality education within an inclusive environment. To transform this belief into practice, we believe that, along with special education, related-services have a crucial role to play in achieving inclusion. These services include psychological interventions including counseling; speech, language, and communication interventions; social services; occupational therapy, and the use of behavioural intervention strategies that rely on the principles of applied behaviour analysis.
